Kaley Cuoco poses with her sweet pet pup on the cover of Redbook magazine’s February 2015 issue.
Here’s what the 29-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On if she’s a feminist: “Is it bad if I say no? It’s not really something I think about. Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around… I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality. I cook for Ryan five nights a week: It makes me feel like a housewife; I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I’m so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off.”
On getting breast implants: I had no boobs! And it really was the best thing ever! I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn’t about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy.”
On being television’s highest paid actress with her Big Bang Theory salary: “All I think about is what it means for my family…and knowing there is security for all of us. My parents spent 16 years hauling my butt to LA for audition after audition. Every day they were helping me learn my lines, dropping me off, waiting for me, picking me up, giving me pep talks when I didn’t get the jobs, taking me to tennis and horseback riding lessons. I remember always hoping I could help take care of them because they took such good care of me. Knowing I’ll be able to just brings tears to my eyes.”
Hello. “The Big Bang Theory” cast cover “People Magazine (september 19-29). Check in out !
“Everybody’s got their feet on the ground, so it doesn’t feel that much different than day one,” star Simon Helberg, 33, tells PEOPLE in its new issue, on newsstands Friday.
What began as a series about four lovable brainiacs and the women who love them has blown up into the most popular sitcom on television today, but the show’s stars, along with Helberg – Johnny Galecki, 39; Jim Parsons, 41; Kaley Cuoco, 28; Kunal Nayyar, 33; Mayim Bialik, 38; and Melissa Rauch, 34 – say they aim to stay as normal as possible.
“You learn who to talk to, where to go and how to act,” says Cuoco, adding that she has developed a simple strategy of her own: “If you don’t want to be photographed, don’t go to The Ivy, and wear undergarments when you go out!”
By and large, the stars say they much prefer takeout food and each other’s company, anyway.
“A lot of us hang out. It’s just a close-knit group,” says Rauch, who frequently spends time with Parsons and his partner, Todd Spiewak, and Helberg and his wife, Jocelyn Towne. “Kaley is the best at throwing parties. Mayim’s the deep thinker, and Kunal is a big giggler. We all get along, and it’s a nice family feel.”

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, star of TV’s most popular comedy and new wife to a pro-tennis hottie, has a few simple rules for keeping things light. Be true to you, surround yourself with friends, laugh at your zits, and screw the haters … even if you can’t ignore them.
On her breakup with Big Bang Theory cast-mate Johnny Galecki, whom she dated for two years:
“It took a minute, a bit of awkwardness. By the grace of God, we became best buddies and moved on in such an elegant way. [He’s] one of my closest friends. He was in the front row at my wedding, with a huge smile on his face.”
On her 10-day fling with Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill:
“I had no one following me until I met Superman. I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and my whole life, I could go anywhere, do anything. There had not been one paparazzi photo of me until like several months ago. The recognition was crazy.”
On her speedy engagement and over-the-top wedding to tennis-pro Ryan Sweeting:
“I admit it happened fast, but that’s who I am. When we met, I knew he was the one. [At my wedding], I felt like a rock star and a badass. What was amazing in that room, it was so full of love. It was like nothing I’d ever been to before, and it was exactly what we wanted it to be. It was the eighth wonder of the world, the greatest wedding of all time.”
On dealing with social media haters:
“I started reading [the social media comments] and thought, Maybe I need to make more of an effort and not go out in my UGGs and be disgusting. So I started putting on makeup. And they started writing, ‘Wow, someone really likes being in front of the camera’ and ‘Her hair’s done now for coffee.’ I couldn’t do anything right. Why am I reading this stuff? But I’m obsessed. I openly admit to being totally insane about that.”
