As the star of one of the top-rated broadcast comedies on the air, Kaley Cuoco is TV’s highest paid actress under 30 — which is why she makes Celebuzz’s Hollywood Power Index at No. 26.
For her role as Penny on The Big Bang Theory, the actress takes home a reported $250,000 per-episode and nets an additional $1.5 million each year in reruns.
Last month, the TV star took the stage at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards as both host and nominee for her second year in a row. Though Cuoco lost the prize for Favorite TV Comedy Actress to Glee’s Lea Michele, the Big Bang Theory received the award for Favorite Network TV Comedy.
“It is really nice. We’ve had the best fans – they’ve really stuck by our show for so long,” Cuoco said at the People’s Choice Awards nominations press conference in 2012.
“So, it means a lot that they even think of us to be nominated.”
The actress ranked at number 11 on Forbes magazine’s 2012 list of the 20 Highest Paid TV Actresses, alongside primetime heavyweights like Tina Fey, Courteney Cox and How I Met Your Mother’s Alyson Hannigan. The only other TV star under 30 to be ranked alongside Cuoco? Reality series celeb and mogul Khloe Kardashian Odom.
